Call for Applications: Policy Editor for the Economic and Social Review

The Economic and Social Review (ESR) is looking to fill the role of Policy Editor. The ESR is Ireland's leading journal for economics and applied social science, publishing high quality submissions in economics, sociology, and cognate disciplines on topics of relevance to Ireland. It incorporates a policy section that contains applied articles addressing important questions relating to economic and social policy. The Journal is published four times a year.

The role of the Policy Editor includes:

  • Selecting reviewers and managing review process of papers
  • Responding to author and reviewer queries
  • Liaising with copy-editor and delivering on-time copy to the publisher
  • Inviting submissions for special editions and liaising with guest editors
  • Reporting on journal activities to Economic and Social Studies Council
  • Serving as member of Economic and Social Studies Council
  • Working closely with the Managing Editor to ensure cohesive journal production
  • Developing and growing the journal
  • Promotion of the journal

Candidates should have a proven track record in research (preferably in economics).
