Announcement: 2026 Brendan Walsh Prize

The 2026 Brendan Walsh Prize has been awarded to James Carroll (Central Bank of Ireland), Michael Mahony (Central Bank of Ireland), Bruno Morando (Maynooth University), Cormac O’Sullivan (Central Bank of Ireland), and Saeed Shahabi Ahangarkolaee (Central Bank of Ireland) for their paper “Firm Credit Conditions and Flood Risk: Evidence from Ireland”.

The Brendan Walsh Prize was inaugurated in 2018 to select the best paper published in The Economic and Social Review in the previous year. The prize includes €1,000 and a certificate.
